OUR STALLIONS

Blythewood Vermont Legend  (Shane Ashmore x Dunham Lucky Legend).  A classic Morgan stallion of  Foundation breeding, Montey has everything you could want: conformation, beauty, type, trot, and temperament. Montey consistently produces foals that are correct, athletic, pretty, and quick learners. Several of his offspring are in the 15- to 15.2-hand range; for the most part, size of his offspring has been influenced by the size of the mare. CLICK HERE TO SEE SOME OF MONTEY'S OFFSPRING. You don't have to sacrifice anything to get old Morgan blood and type; Montey has it all.

Raynyday Squire Jack (Lyonhil Quasar x Shadygrove Serenade). Better known around the country as "Joey", this stallion has been a well-kept secret at Raynyday Morgans, where he has lived in the shadow of his excellent sire Quasar and his full brother Grand Finale. Therefore, he has only sired five foals to date. However, we have 2 spectacular fillies and 1 black colt by Joey here at Blythewood Farm born in 2007.

OUR MARES

Callie-Ann (Hollybrook Topic x Jillian Ashmore) has the Red Vermont x Lippitt Ashmore roots we admire, with outcrosses to Upwey Ben Don. Callie consistently produces superb foals that fit in as family horses, sport horses, and are competitive for amateur owners in the show ring. CLICK HERE to see Callie's  2007 foal by Raynyday Squire Jack.

PollyAggie29w2.jpg (67976 bytes) Blythewood Polly Vermont (Blythewood Vermont Legend x Callie-Ann), chestnut filly, 1999. An exquisite Montey daughter we've retained for our herd. She's a valuable part of our future!  CLICK HERE to see Polly's 2007 foal by Raynyday Squire Jack.

Mollyissydvha3.jpg (40726 bytes) Blythewood Royal Isabella (Firedanse Royalty x Darkvada), Chestnut filly, 1995. Old Vermont/ Brunk/gov't.  CLICK HERE to see her 2004 gelding by Burnt Mtn Ebony Hawk (Courage of Equinox x Peppermint Royalty) and her 2005 filly by Roadshow Doctor Pop (Showcase x Roadshow No Nonsense). Her pedigree has many greats from Morgan history, including Easter Twilight, Equinox Royalty, and Dyberry Bob. CLICK HERE to see Isabella's 2007 foal by Burnt Mtn Ebony Hawk.

FOR SALE

SC Island Filigree (SC Island Gold Fire x Serena Rosebud), 1999. bred by Sherry Siebenaler, North Hero, Vt.  "Aggie's" maternal brother, Hawks Nest Tradition, was well known for his excellent placings in many competitive and endurance rides. Aggie shows the same sort of heart and stamina that made her brother such a excellent competition horse. Aggie is for sale. She is broke to ride and would make a super competitive trail horse or breed her for great foals in the Morgan tradition.

sonata5.jpg (81094 bytes) Culpeper Sonata (Culpeper Crescendo x Early Morning Magic), a beautiful mare sired by a horse that was one of the first Morgans I remember lusting after in the Morgan Horse magazine before I even owned my first Morgan. CLICK HERE to see Sonata's really "sharp dressed" 2007 black foal with 3 white stockings by Raynyday Squire Jack.

  OUR GELDINGS

juballk.jpg (13788 bytes) Jubal Ashmore (Damon Ashmore x Serena Julie Ann), our all-time Morgan ambassador, has competed successfully in carriage pleasure shows, combined driving events, US Performance tests, and ridden dressage.  Jubal is now helping out as a leadline mount for our granddaughter and doing pleasure shows when we find time.  He's the epitome of the Morgan...heart and soul.

Blythewood Hawk Mountain (Burnt Mtn Ebony Hawk x Blythewood Royal Isabella), 2004 bay gelding. Hawk has grown into a very handsome horse. Standing 15+ hands at 3 years, he will probably mature between 15.1 and 15.2. He has an athletic way of going and a fun-loving personality. He has potential to be a shining star in many disciplines. He's started training for driving and under saddle in the spring of 2007. More photos of Hawk are on our SALES page.

Blythewood Baron Oakes (Burnt Mtn Ebony Hawk x Burnt Mtn Erin R), 2006 chestnut gelding. Oakie is a super nice guy with lots of potential. He'd be suitable for a young person to grow with. Very nice mover with a heart of gold. More photos of Oakie are on our SALES page.
  2007 FOALS
